You laugh and cry at the same time because you were such a pathetic idiot back then and you could’ve been so much happier, but chose not to be. Goddamn, why did I do that to myself? you think. It was logical at the time, but that reasoning has long since disappeared.

I headed over to my brother’s town, so we could go to the island together to hunt for beetles. We both caught 4 pages of 8,000+ Bell beetles, but alas, they all disappeared after we encountered an error. (I think my brother went out of range; we were playing on a local connection.)

Moral of the story is: Always save after EVERYTHING.

… I opened my “Genki II” textbook for the first time in about a year. As much as I hate this dumb textbook, I need to brush up on basic grammar and vocabulary (and kanji -cries-).

I’ve been really depressed lately since I can’t seem to communicate as well as I used to. I’m really sad that I’m “losing” my language ability and I want to get it back.

~~Only problem is that I have zero Japanese friends so like no way to practice in the real world alkdjsf.~~

I won the Bug-Off Contest with a cyclommatus stag at 105 points. Along with the first place gold bug trophy, I got a honeybee chest, a cicada stereo, and a butterfly wall. My brother gave me his ladybug carpet. I really want to collect all the bug furniture because I think it’s really cute, haha. I’ve got two more months to collect. them. ALL.

ACNL Day 7: I’M BUGGIN’ OUT, MAN

Today was the Bug-Off, so I decided to be sneaky and go to the island to catch some rare summer bugs. While I was there, I got a wet suit. Back in town, I explored the other half of my beach (it’s not accessible without the wet suit) and ran into the stoner otter Pascal right after I caught a scallop. He gave me a pirate’s armor and disappeared, like a true drifter.
